Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well!
I don’t have a recipe to share today but I thought it would be fun to share my top 5 post workout essentials! Working out has became a part of my daily routine and these items are essential for me to have post workout!
1 Cold Press Juice
There is nothing more refreshing than sipping on a fresh juice post workout! My favourite juices available in Winnipeg are from Green Carrot Juice Company and the brand Well which can be found at Vita Health.
2 Foam roller
Foam rolling helps release tightness in your muscles by applying pressure to specific muscle points. You will definitely notice it helps in the recovery of your muscles. Foam rollers range in prices and shape. I have a basic one (photo above) and it is perfect for me.
Not sure how to use a foam roller? Check out this super helpful post.
3 Face Wipes
I feel like this one is a no brainer but face wipes are definitely essential! Especially when you can’t shower right after working out. I love Burt’s Bees Cucumber & Sage as well as Yes to Cucumber face wipes.
4 Cranked Energy Bars
These have been my absolute favourite energy bars lately! If I had to pick my favourite out of these top 5, I think I would have to give it to these Cranked Energy Bars. These bars contain almost 20g of protein each and also have a vegan option (which is my personal favourite). It is so hard to find an energy bar with good ingredients while also having a good amount of protein. These Cranked Energy bars are also created locally in Winnipeg! I can’t wait to see where this brand goes as they are just getting started! I like to purchase mine at The Forks (Green Generation) or at WPG Cycle.
5 Dry Shampoo
I love dry shampoo. This is essential post workout to keep your hair from looking greasy. Spray this to your roots, rub it in and go! I also really like using dry shampoo on clean hair because it gives your hair volume. There are definitely good and bad brands of dry shampoo. I really like Batiste Original dry shampoo. If you’ve never tried dry shampoo you need to now! :)
What are some of your post workout essentials? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading!
