Today will be my last post of 2016! There is no recipe for today, instead I wanted to do a short recap of 2016. So get comfy, grab a cup of tea, or wine ;) and let’s get to recapping!
I started this year off going to the Pinch of Yum workshop back in March in Minneapolis. This workshop was one of the best things I could have done to improve my food photography. I was able to gain basic knowledge on how to use my DSLR camera and styling tips. The food that was at the workshop was amazing (to eat and photography of course!) and I was able to meet so many other bloggers/creators from all over the United States. I still have a TON to learn but it has been a lot of fun playing around with my camera and trying different photo styling techniques. It is definitely one of my favourite things to do and I am so happy I have this place to share it!

Throughout the year, I definitely had a lot of failed recipes. I really enjoy reading Pinch Of Yum and other bloggers yearly “failed recipe/recipe disaster” posts. Maybe in 2017 I will make it a point to snap a photo of the failed recipes and create a similar post at the end of the year {I am sure there will be plenty of them!}. With that said there were many successful recipes and a few of the top recipe posts are below:

Thank you!
Food blogging is one of my favourite things to do and I love sharing new recipes with people around the world. I wanted to thank each and everyone of you for reading, commenting and sharing my recipes! It makes my day when someone tells me they made one of my recipes or shared my site with one of their friends! It is much appreciated!
Although I love food blogging, it is very time consuming and I do have a full-time job. Therefore, it is nice to earn a bit of income from my blog through ads and sponsored content. I’ve decided to donate 15% of my blog earnings to Winnipeg Harvest which is an organization that provides food to those in need. It’s not a lot of money, but every bit counts! More information about Winnipeg Harvest here. So thank you for reading my blog and making this donation possible! There is a lot to come this new year and I am super excited about it!

It’s been a great year following your blog and trying some of your recipes.
I love both the pictures and videos you provide along with your recipes so that I know what it is supposed to look like lol
Great work Brittney and love that you are supporting a local charity.
Look forward to seeing more of what you have in 2017
