The cold weather is definitely here and there is nothing better than a warm cozy drink on a cold evening! Today I want to share a classic warm drink, hot chocolate! I love this recipe because it’s super simple, quick to make and the ingredients are ones that you probably always have. The base of this recipe is coconut milk which is seriously my new favourite thing. I am not a fan of coconut water, or coconut in general but coconut milk is really tasty. It is nice and light yet still creamy. However, almond milk is a great substitute that also tastes delicious. This recipe also works as a great base if you wanted to add or swap for other ingredients such as peppermint or even dark chocolate with mint!
Toppings are optional but would taste delicious with classic toppings such as marshmallows, chocolate chips, etc.
Photo below: I swirled in a bit of coconut whip cream which was super delicious!
