Kale chips became increasingly popular a couple years ago because they are salty, have a crunchy texture, and they are a healthy alternative to other snacks. Kale chips became so popular that companies started making pre-packaged kale chips in all different flavours for a very high price. Homemade kale chips are WAY better than any pre-packaged kale chips I’ve tried so definitely give them a shot! This recipe costs under 3$ to make!
The key to great tasting kale chips is to roast kale leaves at 300 F degrees for about 15 minutes, flip them over then add them to the oven for another 10 minutes. Baking them at a lower temperature for longer will help eliminate the bitter taste found in kale.
I also really like to pair kale chips with a simple guacamole recipes. Mashed avocado, lemon juice, cherry tomatoes, salt and pepper make the perfect dip addition!
As you can see from the photos, kale chips become a really dark green once cooked. Even when cooked kale still provides antioxidants, fibre, and more!

Since guacamole is thick, I recommend using a spoon to scope the guac onto the kale chip so that the chips keep there shape!
