It’s the middle of the summer and I have been taking full advantage of the cheaper seasonal produce and the weather of course! I whipped together this mix the other morning and had to share it with you all! It’s extremely easy to make and it’s very nutritious! See below for nutrition facts and ways to enjoy this dish!
Nutrition facts
Strawberries// Strawberries are carbohydrates that are filled with vitamin C, antioxidants, fibre and magnesium.
Mango// This sweet, juicy fruit is a great source of vitamin B6, vitamin A and vitamin C
Red Onion// Red onions have anti-immflamatory properties, low glycemic food (glycemic index is a rating for foods at how quick they raise blood glucose levels), high antioxidant levels and great source of vitamin C, vitamin B6 and Thiamin (vitamin B1)
Cilantro// This herb has a “fresh” taste and contains many nutrients such as fibre, vitamin K and manganese
Ways to enjoy this spread..
1. With crackers or bread. I like toasting whole wheat pita bread and cutting it into rectangular shapes and dipping it in the spread (as shown in picture)
2. On a piece of lettuce to eat as a lettuce wrap. Simply place the spread on the lettuce, wrap it up and enjoy!

Description
Plant-based recipe perfect to enjoy during the summer time.
Ingredients
- 10 strawberries, diced
- 1 mango, cut into small squares
- 1/2 red onion, chopped finely
- Handful of cilantro
- Juice from half a lime
Instructions
- Combine all ingredient into bowl and top with lime juice.
- Enjoy!
