I love sharing smoothie recipes because they are so easy and quick to make. The variety of fruits available in the summer make smoothie making so much more fun because the combinations are endless. Today I am sharing this Papaya Punch Smoothie recipe that contains papaya, kiwi, green apple, celery and chia seeds. So simple, nourishing and filling. If you are not familiar with papayas, they have a bit of a bitter taste but combining them with these sweet {kiwi, green apple} and salty {celery} ingredients eliminates the bitter taste. Nutrition
Papayas are great for the digestive system because they contain an enzyme {papain} that helps breakdown proteins. It is also an excellent source of vitamin C, folate, fibre and many antioxidants. Kiwis also provide a good source of vitamin C, fibre, and a bit of calcium. The chia seeds in this recipe add a boost of protein, healthy fats, calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium and more.
Papaya Punch Smoothie

Description
Papaya Punch Smoothie that is easy, quick and nourishing! Make for breakfast and enjoy on the go! Recipe is vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.
Ingredients
- 1 papaya
- 3 kiwi
- 1 green apple, chopped
- 2 celery sticks
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Handful of ice
Instructions
- Begin by cutting the papaya, removing the seeds and adding the inside of the papaya to a blender
- Remove the skin from the kiwi and place kiwi into blender
- Add all remaining ingredients to the blender and blend on high for about 2 minutes {should have the consistency of apple sauce}
- Pour in mason jar and enjoy!
Notes
Add a bit of water to help with blending if needed.
